- Hello there
-
- I'm developing a Kiosk system for this rather BIG company I'm working for.
- I'm using Visual Basic with alot of custom controls to enhance its multimedia
- capabilities. This Kiosk prototype is running on a Pentuim 90Mhz, 32 MB Ram.
-
- Eventhough, the PC I'm developing on is considered a fast PC it is still
- behind in multimedia performance compared to the Amiga. On this PC the
- Animation is jerky, the sound is not great, etc)
-
- I've seen a couple of Amiga based Kiosks running on A1200, and defintley they
- were much better in the multimedia departement than a PC.
-
- What I'm trying to do is convince my management to use the Amiga as a Kiosk
- platform rather than a PC or a Mac. I think a Kiosk based Amiga would be less
- costly than a PC. The problem here in Kuwait is that there is no Amigas shops
- any more. They all converted to PC during C= liquidation.
-
- I thought of giving a demo about the Amiga, but it would be very hard to
- convince management to invest in a product that is not supported in this
- country anymore.
-
- If you have any ideas or suggestions on how to convince my management on using
- Amigas for Kiosk systems, please do not hesitate to e-mail me. Maybe we can
- revive the Amiga in this part of the world.
-
- Thank you in advance
- Mohammad Al-Abdullah
